3 Coping Strategies for
Millionaire Moms
by
Leslie Diane
The first thing we need to
do is determine whether or not you truly are a millionaire mom because this
article contains coping strategies for entrepreneurial mothers that follow their
own golden path.
Most women fall into one of
two categories, either we are dreaming of millions or we are making millions.
The good news is that the two go together. In order to make millions, you need
to be able to dream of millions. Welcome to planet earth.
Next, if you are not
dreaming of your highest goals, then you are teaching your children not to
either. If you are not reaching for your highest goals, then your children may
not do so either.
As an entrepreneurial mother
you probably work more than you would like and spend some of that time worrying
about your children, feeling like you do not spend enough quality time with
them, or that they are not receiving enough of the good things in life. Or maybe
it is you that is suffering by not exercising enough or doing the things you
most enjoy, which teaches your children the same lifestyle pattern. Then when
you are spending time with them, you are worried that you are not working enough
hours in a day to reach your goals...this cycle can become very stressful for
the whole family, especially for single mom-preneurs. You lose your temper with
your kids when in reality it is your own worry that caused the melt down. Your
kids start to wear your frowning wrinkles and speak in a sassy tone. You know.
Worry. Stress. Feeling pushed against the wall, making it from one appointment
to the next day in and day out.
Coping Strategy Number One:
Dreaming Big pulls you out of the stress cycle. How? You ask. Because, when you
start breathing, imagining, feeling, speaking of and acting on your dreams of an
abundant and relaxed lifestyle you begin to magically draw these experiences to
you! Try it. Do it every day all day in each breath in each word in each
gesture. Practice this and you will be practicing the millionaire mind set.
Coping Strategy Number Two:
Reaching Towards the opportunities that you are drawing to you and quickly
learning from them. By learning from them, I mean that you do not throw out the
baby with the bath water just because the opportunity is not your ideal dream
job or marketing solution or business relationship. Learn about yourself from
this experience, what is the mirror on the wall telling you about your belief
systems about your work and your dreams? After all, you co-created this
experience with the universe. Didn't you? Are you really going to turn down this
next better step just because it is not exactly what you ordered? When you take
full responsibility for your co-created dream, learn from your reality, change
your behavior accordingly, then you are on the path to gold. Keep on breathing,
imagining, practicing, reaching, receiving and the next step will reveal itself.
Coping Strategy Number
Three: Play More Work Less. I know it sounds totally crazy. If you bothered to
read this far, you are interested in developing a millionaire mindset and
because you tend to work hard, you have persistence and you know that success
does not just fall from the tree without some fertilizing and watering. All you
need is a little attitude adjustment. Have you ever noticed a local street
person in your neighborhood, the one that looks completely drunken silly with
life and does not seem to notice that she is living on the streets? You want to
become drunk with your own dreams just like her. Then you will not notice the
imperfections of your life so much and you will get on with your dreams. I call
this play therapy. Daily play therapy in nature and with your kids will increase
your potency when you ARE working. It stimulates your imagination, opens your
awareness, allowing you to find creative solutions to seemingly insurmountable
obstacles.
I would love to hear your
feedback about how these strategies work for you and I am available to speak
with you about your daily practice. Living the path of success requires many
support systems especially where children are involved. We mustn't lose sight of
our daily connection with that which so profoundly moves us towards our goals as
millionaire moms. Betray your dreams and you teach your children the same.Live
your dreams and give your children theirs.
